VIASURE participates in the XXVI SEIMC Congress

SEIMC XXVI

 

The Congress of the Spanish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology (SEIMC) is a prominent event in the field of clinical

microbiology. In this 26th edition, VIASURE by Certest participated once again, presenting three talks on the latest studies conducted on the qPCR diagnostic technique, led by María Martínez, María Gistas, and Esther Franco. Here are the studies presented:

  1. Can interfering substances affect the rapid molecular diagnosis of respiratory viruses? (María Martínez)
  2. Method for eliminating bacterial contaminating DNA in qPCR reagents to reduce false-positive results in broad-spectrum qPCR. (María Gistas)
  3. Critical performance validation of 7 qPCR kits for the specific diagnosis of 5 enteric viruses from clinical stool samples. (Esther Franco, in collaboration with Susana Guix)

This edition of the SEIMC took place in Santiago de Compostela, from June 1st to 3rd.
