At Certest Biotec, we are looking for a Pharmaceutical Development & Technology Transfer Scientist with experience in pharmaceutical development and technology transfer to strengthen our capability to execute projects for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

We develop technologies and products based on nucleic acids, including RNA, oligonucleotides, ionizable lipids, and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). Our work encompasses both internal R&D projects and customer projects, covering the entire development process from early formulation and optimization through process development and the generation of documentation required to advance toward preclinical, regulatory, and manufacturing stages.

The successful candidate will play a cross-functional role within our Pharma division, helping to transform scientific developments into robust, reproducible, and transferable processes for CDMOs and other manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and execution of pharmaceutical development projects for clients.
• Define, together with scientific teams, the studies required to demonstrate process robustness, reproducibility, and transferability.
• Prepare and review the technical documentation required for technology transfers to CDMOs.
• Coordinate technology transfer activities, including resolving technical questions, monitoring manufacturing batches, and managing deviations or issues.
• Contribute to the definition of process scale-up strategies and process control.
• Support the establishment of acceptance criteria, in-process controls, preliminary specifications, and comparability plans.
• Interact directly with clients, collaborators, and international suppliers.
• Collaborate with teams working on LNP formulation, RNA, lipids, analytical development, and experimental testing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal procedures and project management systems.

Requirements

• University degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related field.
• Professional experience in technology transfer, pharmaceutical development, process development, CMC, or related activities.
• Experience gained in a CDMO, pharmaceutical company, or biotechnology company involved in transferring processes to external manufacturing partners.
• Ability to understand complex scientific processes and translate them into clear, structured, and executable documentation.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, with the ability to participate in technical meetings and work with international clients.
• Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Practical, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve issues arising during process development and technology transfer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), RNA formulations, biologics, advanced therapies, or drug delivery systems.
• Knowledge of formulation process scale-up, filtration, concentration, purification, or fill-and-finish operations.
• Experience preparing technology transfer packages, development reports, manufacturing protocols, or CMC documentation.
• Familiarity with GMP environments and pharmaceutical product development requirements.
• Experience working with international CDMOs.
• Knowledge of oncology, tumor biology, or preclinical cancer models.
• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
