VIASURE Measles + Rubella Real Time PCR Detection Reagents RUO is a RT-qPCR test designed for the qualitative detection of Measles virus, Measles vaccine strains and Rubella virus RNA in clinical samples. The isolated RNA target is transcribed generating complementary DNA by reverse transcriptase, which is followed by the amplification of a conserved region of the Non structural protein gene for Rubella virus, and a conserved region of the Nucleoprotein gene for Measles wild type and Measles vaccine strain using specific primers and a fluorescent-labelled probe.

VIASURE Measles + Rubella Real Time PCR Detection Reagents RUO contains in each well all the components necessary for real time PCR assay (specific primers/probes, dNTPs, buffer and polymerase and retrotranscriptase) in a stabilized1 format, as well as an internal or extraction control to verify the correct functioning of the amplification mix.
